Inspiring the Next Generation of Female Scientists and Technologists
The University of Malta, in collaboration with the Ministry for Foreign and European Affairs and Trade and the Ministry for Education, Sport, Youth, Research and Innovation, is bringing its impactful She Can Exhibition to Gozo. This exhibition showcases the achievements of 26 Maltese women in various STEM fields, aiming to inspire young girls to pursue careers in science and technology.
She Can Exhibition: Showcasing Female Role Models in STEM
The She Can Exhibition, launched in 2024, has been touring schools across Malta, promoting inclusivity in STEM. Now, it’s expanding its reach to Gozo, providing young women and girls on the island with the opportunity to connect with inspiring female role models. The exhibition panels highlight the contributions of women in diverse areas, including digital technologies, health and well-being, marine and maritime, sustainability, and smart manufacturing.
Interactive Learning and Engagement at Science in the Citadel
The exhibition will be held at Science in the Citadel in Victoria, Gozo, on Sunday, April 27th, 2025. This free event offers more than just static displays. Attendees can participate in live presentations and interactive activities related to various scientific disciplines, including mathematics, physics, oceanography, and pharmacology. This hands-on approach allows young learners to explore different STEM fields and discover their passions.
Empowering Young Women to Pursue STEM Careers
By showcasing the success stories of women who have overcome challenges and excelled in STEM, the She Can Exhibition aims to empower young girls to pursue their own scientific aspirations. Celebrating Malta’s Leadership in Recognizing Women in Science
Malta was designated the first World Capital for Women and Girls in Science by the Royal Academy for Science International Trust (RASIT). The She Can Exhibition, launched at the Parliament House to commemorate this recognition, further solidifies Malta’s commitment to promoting gender equality in STEM.
