Program Description
The course will provide you with a three-year programme of study in both the theory and practice of mental health nursing, allowing you to function as fully accredited members of the psychiatric multi-disciplinary team. The course has been developed to meet the nursing needs of the increasing population of people with mental health problems.
Career
On successful completion of the programme, you would be eligible for employment as a first level registered psychiatric nurse in Malta and in several other EU member states. Nurses are nowadays expected to continue to develop on a personal and professional level, through lifelong learning. Post-registration educational opportunities for professional development are also available, such as specialising programmes, Masters graduate programmes, and EU exchange activities.
