The Master of Arts in Insurance and Risk Management is assessed mainly on the research dissertation which you will be supervised on a one-to-one basis, and a taught section on research methodology. If you are intending to pursue an academic career, it would be ideal if you seek counsel from the Department of Insurance within FEMA, as some specialisms may require skills that can more easily be provided via the taught programmes.
As a graduate with an MA in Insurance and Risk Management, you will be eligible for a career in the Insurance public/private sector. As noted above in the learning outcomes, the skills gained will prepare you for PhD studies or any other research areas.
